Binding Directives
- The
"Binding Directives to the Examination Schedule" (PDF, 50 kB) are always a fixed component
of the examination schedule.
- As
a basic rule, only take examinations if you are in perfect health. Otherwise
you are accepting the risk of failing and you would not be in any way entitled
to a cancellation.
Before the start of the examination session:
Withdrawal
- Up
until Sunday at midnight (24:00 hours) one week before the start of the examination session through myStudies.
ATTENTION: The latest deadline for deregistering has been postponed by one week as of Summer Session 2009!
- See
also "Withdrawal"
Illness
- If
a deadline is exceeded (e.g. deadline for taking the first year examinations, repeating
an examination), you need:
- an
application in writing, requesting a deadline extension, to the Student
Administration (Mrs. Dr. P. Wyrsch, Head of Student Administration, Rämistrasse 101, HG FO 22.1, 8092 Zurich)
Once the examination session has started:
Late withdrawal from examinations
- Once
the withdrawal deadline has expired, it is only possible to withdraw on grounds
of force majeure (e.g. illness or an accident).
- Contact
the Examination Office immediately by telephone (Tel. 044 632 20 68). You must present a
certificate setting out the reason for absence.
Illness
- Always
telephone the Examination Office immediately so that the examiners can be
informed in good time. (Tel. 044 632 20 68)
- Please
note: Obtain a doctor’s certificate – this should always include the dates of
the examinations which have not been taken.
- The
next steps (e.g. whether other examinations are taken or not) are discussed
with the Examination Office by telephone.
Special cases
- If you are prevented from taking part in the examinations for other reasons of
force majeure, always telephone the Examination Office immediately so that the
examiners can be informed in good time. (Tel. 044 632 20 68)
