Certificates and reports are generally issued in German. Upon graduation Bachelor and Master students receive an English translation of the grade report; the Diploma Supplement is issued bilingually.
The Diploma is only issued in one of the official Swiss language, i.e. in German, French or Italian. There is no Diploma in English, upon request an English translation can be issued.
However, if you have graduated according to the previous "Diploma regulations" you have to provide the Registrar's Office with the translations. Those have to be carried out exactly according to the original document. Nothing may be omitted and nothing may be added (e.g. explanations).
Please send your translations (in a Microsoft Word format) per e-mail to the Registrar's Office.
This also applies to translations into French or Italian of all documents issued by ETH Zurich.
