Admission to Master's degree programmes

1. Master's degree programmes

ETH Zurich offers 41 different Master's degree programmes. Consecutive Master's degree programmes provide a direct continuation to a corresponding Bachelor's degree programme. Specialised Master's degree programmes are offered in areas of particular expertise at ETH Zurich. These programmes can also be interdisciplinary.

2. Admission Prerequisites

As a formal prerequisite to be eligible for admission to a Master's degree programme you need to have a Bachelor's degree from ETH Zurich or an equivalent first academic degree from an internationally recognised university

With regard to content the prerequisites are described in the requirement profile of each Master's degree programme. These prerequisites depend on your application category.

Evidence of an adequate command of the language(s) of instruction (German and/or English) is also required before the begin of studies.

3. Application

3.1 Students of universities other than ETH Zurich

All students from Swiss or foreign universities must apply with the Admissions office.

3.2 Bachelor's degree students of ETH Zurich

Some master programmes require a formal application, others only an online enrolment. Please consult the German version for details.
