International application period autumn 2012

compulsory for

• students who require a visa, holding a Swiss or foreign degree
• students who wish to apply to the Excellence & Opportunity Scholarship Programme
• students who wish to apply for a Swiss Government Scholarship

recommended for

• all foreign nationals, regardless of visa requirements
• all students holding a foreign degree, regardless of their nationality
• students who want an early decision for personal reasons (e.g. scholarship, application to other universities, employment cancellation period)

Application period: 1 November - 15 December 2011

Applications to the Master's degree programmes beginning in autumn semester 2012 can be submitted online from 1 November 2011. Deadline for applications is Thursday, 15 December 2011.

Keep in mind that the printout of your online application with the supporting documents must arrive at the Admissions Office by 19 December 2011. When sending your application documents, please allow enough time for disruptions in delivery due to natural hazards and the general tendency for things to go wrong at the last minute. Please also take into account that the terms and conditions of many courier services specify a delivery time of up to five days between major cities.

Bologna application period autumn 2012

suitable only for

• students who do not require a visa and are prepared to wait for the decision until June 2012

Application period: 1 March - 15 April 2012

Applications to the Master's degree programmes beginning in autumn semester 2012 can be submitted online from 1 March 2012. Deadline for applications is Sunday, 15 April 2012.

Keep in mind that the printout of your online application with the supporting documents must arrive at the Admissions Office by 17 April 2012. When sending your application documents, please allow enough time for disruptions in delivery due to natural hazards and the general tendency for things to go wrong at the last minute. Please also take into account that the terms and conditions of many courier services specify a delivery time of up to five days between major cities.

An application that was denied during the International Application Period will not be processed again for the same Master programme during the Bologna Application period.

As a rule, late applications will not be accepted.
