People
As soon as the dates of the written examinations have been
established, a scheduling questionnaire is published in eDoz. There you can indicate when you are available
during the session for oral examinations.
Principles, responsibilities
- Within
the examination session, you are free to choose in eDoz when you will be
available for oral examinations.
Students have many written examinations during the first three weeks of the
session. If you are only available at the start of the session, this may
potentially lead to clashes.
You will be informed about the release of the scheduling questionnaire via
e-mail.
- Dates
for written examinations
may not be changed or rescheduled.
- Changes
to the type of examination
(method, form and duration) are not allowed at this point and are no longer
part of the examiner’s authority.
See also "Prorector examination information" (PDF, 73 kB)
- Common
dates must be
arranged with co-examiners.
In eDoz, you can view the scheduling questionnaires of
all of your co-examiners.
Where there is a lack of common dates, the dates of the
chief examiner are automatically used.
- As
a basic principle, the time required to carry out oral examinations should be
doubled and then indicated in different weeks. Dates should preferably be
during the final week of the session.
You will receive the best possible examination schedule if you make available as many free days as
possible, as each individual schedule is optimised by hand and grouped into as
few days as possible.
The more free days you make available, the more likely it is that we can find a
date on which all candidates can be examined. The fewer free days you make
available, the greater the risk that the examinations will have to be spread
out over several dates.
Key information for examination scheduling
- Checking
of existing data
In particular, co-examiners and help materials for written examinations may be
amended in the scheduling questionnaire (in eDoz).
Corresponding changes can be notified using the comments fields.
For oral examinations, no more than a total of two examiners should be listed.
- Available
days
We will only use a
half-day marked as an alternative date for oral examinations in the event of
problems (e.g. lack of common dates with co-examiners).
- Daily
examination time/Breaks
The default values
for daily examination times may be changed.
Breaks can be requested. However, the following times are fixed periods (10:00
– 10:30 and/or 15:00 – 15:30) and cannot be changed.
- Examination
room
You have the choice between your own room and a Rectorate room which will be
allocated by us.
If possible, please always use your own office for oral examinations.
For examinations where there are several examiners, the chief examiner’s room
is preferred.
