Navigation

There are several ways to navigate through ETH Zurich websites:

Main navigation

The links to the main topics of the website are contained in the three lines of the main navigation in the header bar. They remain invariable throughout this whole website.

Sub-navigation

The sub-navigation is in the left-hand column of the content area and lists the site structure from the current main topic down to the currently displayed page, including all adjacent sub-topics and pages. On the starting page of the website, the sub-navigation is empty.

Breadcrumb navigation

The breadcrumb navigation below the coloured header area lists the hierarchical structure starting from the ETH homepage down to the currently displayed page (without adjacent sub-topics).

Service navigation

Links to particular, standardised pages and functions can be found in the service navigation in the right-hand column. They include:

• the search function
• the help page
• the contact page
• the sitemap, displaying a list of all pages with the last modification date
  

Page functions, language switch

The functions Print page, Mail page, Page as PDF are specific to the current page. They can be accessed in the area below the service navigation. To switch between German and English pages, use the DE/EN switch situated there as well.
