myStudies: Transcript of Records / Change Category Assignment

The “Assign category” function relocates performance assessments with their credit points into other categories in the transcript of records. It is used in particular to prepare the request to issue the degree.

Target: Each category must contain at least the target points to enable submission of the request to issue the degree.

As soon as the request to issue the degree has been submitted, this function is disabled.

Modify

Assigns individual performances to a different category. After clicking on it, the selection menu shows “No category” together with all those categories into which this performance assessment can be relocated.

Contact your Administration Office if you cannot relocate performance assessments into the required category.

In this way “surplus” performance assessments can be removed from a category. As a result they are not used for the final academic record and can be relocated into other regulations.

Import performances from another degree programme or other regulations

Performances from other degree programmes are recognised in the form of exemptions, or can be transferred directly from other degree programmes.

Exempted credit points are shown separately in the transcript of records.

Individual performance assessments that are/were not used in the academic record part of the final academic record in another degree programme or other regulations can be relocated by the student him/herself into the current degree programme by using the “Additional performance assessments” function.

This function imports performance assessments from other regulations.

Only those performances that were not listed in the final academic record in the original regulations, insofar as a final academic record already exists for them, are displayed for transfer.

In addition they must be permitted in the “target regulations”, i.e. they must be listed in the “target degree programme” in the course catalogue in the semester in which the performance assessment was passed.
