Addresses and Personal Data: Personal and communication data

This is where you find all your personal data, your present status at the ETH as well as your communication data.

Correction, Questions

Report any corrections, discrepancies or questions to the responsible department. Contact forms and homepages can be found in the right-side info-boxes after each section.

Passport Photo

Default setting is that your passport photo is not released. You do have the possibility to release your passport photo for ETH Web pages requiring login or for all public ETH Web pages.

Polykum/ETH Life Print

By selecting or deselecting the check box "Polykum/ETH Life Print", you can decide whether you would like to receive the "Polykum" and/or "ETH Life Print" magazines.

Address forwarding

By selecting or deselecting the checkbox "submit address", students can decide if they allow their address to be passed on outside of ETH Zurich.

ETH-card

The ETH-card is a personal identity card. The ETH-card acts as a visual as well as an electronic identity card equipped with non-contact RFID-Technology. The new card replaces the old ETH-card in all its functions.

Your ETH card is equipped with a 6-digit PIN-code you may use to access buildings of ETH Zurich with an electronic access system. You can change your personal PIN-code by clicking on the link.
If you are not in possession of a valid ETH-card, please contact the relevant department indicated by the link in the info box at your right.

Status of your ETH-card

If you possess a registered ETH-card, you can access details and all incorporated data of your card with the status link.

Comunication Data

• Your preferred e-mail address and your personal homepage, if you have one, is indicated under Communication Data. Changes are to be made in the nethz AdminTool. You will find the appropriate link after the section Communication Data.
  
  
• Here you can save and certify your personal mobile telephone number, so that when using ETH-SMS-GATEWAY your mobile number shows as the originator. Characters allowed are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, +, - and blank. To certify click on the link "not certified". Certification expires when your mobile phone number is cancelled.
  
  
• In the segment "Internet Telephone (SIP)" you can save your personal Private ID for SIP Internet telephony (Session Initiation Protocol).
  PolyPhone-ID is issued by the ETH and can be used for voice over IP. For further information please use the URLs in the right-hand info-box. To change your Polyphone-ID please contact the ITS Service Desk.
