Addresses and Personal Data: Addresses

Technical aspects

Web applications

All currently valid addresses are listed. Addresses that have expired or
future addresses are not shown. Address function is noted next to every
address.

Addresses and their meaning

Residential Address

Students should specify the address where they can be contacted during the term. All others specify their residential address.

Alternative/Parents' Address

Students have to specify either their parents' address or some other permanent address. All others may specify an alternative address where they can be reached e.g. during a stay abroad.

External Office Address

This type of address can be used by lecturers, if their office is not on the ETH-Campus.

Correspondence Address

This type of address indicates the standard address to be used
for postal deliveries.

ETH - Office Addresses

As of July 1 2011 ETH office addresses must be self-managed. For employees of ETH Zurich, entry of at least one ETH office address is required by law.

To register or delete additional ETH office addresses, use the contact form in the Addresses and Personal Data web application

Registration is restricted to ETH office addresses located in buildings managed by ETH Estate Management. Accordingly, to mutate an ETH office address, the building code must be selected from the drop-down menu.

You can enter an ETH internal phone number to correspond to one or more ETH office addresses. This will be displayed accordingly in People Search.

For technical reasons mutations on the Addresses application are periodically updated in People Search and are therefore not immediately visible on this application.

Correspondence Address for Faculty Matters

Lecturers can indicate the address where information concerning their lectures, is to be sent.
